State of Mexico.- This Wednesday, November 20, a multiple collision occurred on the Mexico-Quer\u00e9taro Highway , at kilometer 059+000 in<\/p>\n
Huehuetoca, State of Mexico . The accident involved a trailer that, after being unable to stop in time,<\/p>\n
collided with several vehicles. As a result, the vehicle ended up across the road,<\/p>\n
occupying all three north-south lanes of traffic, causing a partial closure of the highway.<\/p>\n
Causes of the accident and traffic conditions<\/p>\n
The incident occurred as the trailer was traveling toward Mexico City . Failing to brake in time before the Jorobas intersection ,<\/p>\n
the driver crashed into a bank and then struck five cars and a pickup truck . Due to the wet road conditions caused by the day\u2019s rain ,<\/p>\n
it is suspected that road conditions may have played a role in the accident, although authorities will investigate the cause.<\/p>\n
Injuries and safety recommendations
\nParamedics arrived at the scene to treat the injured , who had minor injuries.<\/p>\n
