“Come with me.”<\/p>\n

We drove twenty minutes outside town.<\/p>\n

Past the places I remembered from childhood.<\/p>\n

Then turned onto a narrow gravel road.<\/p>\n

Finally…<\/p>\n

He stopped beside a small white building.<\/p>\n

The sign read:<\/p>\n

Willow Creek Community Center.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Inside…<\/p>\n

People immediately recognized my father’s photograph.<\/p>\n

An elderly woman began crying.<\/p>\n

“You must be Daniel’s daughter.”<\/p>\n

I nodded, confused.<\/p>\n
