The two officers entered slowly.<\/p>\n

The other looked directly at me.<\/p>\n
“How long have you known your neighbor, Mark Reynolds?”<\/p>\n
“About three years.”<\/p>\n
“Was he acting strangely recently?”<\/p>\n
I thought for a moment.<\/p>\n
“He was quieter than usual.”<\/p>\n
“But nothing that seemed… dangerous.”<\/p>\n
The officers exchanged a glance.<\/p>\n
Finally, the older one sighed.<\/p>\n
“We’ve been investigating him for several months.”<\/p>\n

Because the box had been discovered on Mark’s property after police obtained a warrant…<\/p>\n

Since he had fled the state, an arrest warrant was issued.<\/p>\n
