The page was filled with bullet points.<\/p>\n
Must be attractive.<\/em><\/p>\n Financially successful.<\/em><\/p>\n No children.<\/em><\/p>\n Supportive of my career plans.<\/em><\/p>\n Willing to relocate if necessary.<\/em><\/p>\n He looked at me expectantly.<\/p>\n “I’ve dated a lot over the last few years,” he said. “Most women don’t measure up. You seem like someone who checks every box.”<\/p>\n I stared at him.<\/p>\n “So… this is why you invited me?”<\/p>\n “I believe in being efficient.”<\/p>\n Not once had he mentioned love.<\/p>\n Or friendship.<\/p>\n Or getting to know each other.<\/p>\n It sounded more like a business interview than a date.<\/p>\n “You don’t know anything about me,” I said.<\/p>\n “I know enough.”<\/p>\n He smiled confidently.<\/p>\n “You have a great job.
