She was born on April 11, 1939, in New York City.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2412809\" src=\"https:\/\/matheusfeed.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-22-1.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p id=\"ob-readmore-th-position\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lasser began her career in theater before moving into film and television. She gained early attention through several collaborations with her former husband, Woody Allen, appearing in films including Take the Money and Run, Bananas and Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex* (*But Were Afraid to Ask).<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2412810\" src=\"https:\/\/matheusfeed.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-23.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her biggest role came in the 1970s when she starred in the satirical series\u00a0<em>Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman<\/em>\u00a0from 1976 to 1977.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The show, which aired five nights a week for two seasons, made fun of traditional soap operas. In 1978, she wrote and starred in the film\u00a0<em>Just Me and You<\/em>, and in 1980, she made a cameo in Woody Allen\u2019s\u00a0<em>Stardust Memories<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Per\u00a0<em>USA Today<\/em>, her other credits included\u00a0<em>Simon<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Rude Awakening<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Modern Love<\/em>,\u00a0<em>The Night We Never Met<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Wolves of Wall Street<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>National Lampoon\u2019s Gold Diggers<\/em>.
