Father O\u2019Flannagan dies due to old age.<\/p>\n
Upon entering St. Peter\u2019s gate, there is another man in front of him in the queue waiting to go into heaven.<\/p>\n
St. Peter asks the man, \u201cWhat is your name what did you accomplish during your life?\u201d.<\/p>\n
The man responds \u201cMy name is Joe Cohen, and I was a New York city taxi driver for 14 years\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cVery well,\u201d says St. Peter, \u201cHere is your silk robe and golden scepter, now you may walk in the streets of our Lord.\u201d<\/p>\n
St. Peter looks at the Father, and asks \u201cWhat is your name and what did you accomplish?\u201d<\/p>\n
He responds, \u201cI\u2019m Father O\u2019Flannagan, and have devoted the last 62 years to the Lord.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cVery well,\u201d says St. Peter, \u201cHere is your cotton robe and wooden staff, you may enter.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWait a minute,\u201d says O\u2019Flannagan, \u201cYou gave the taxi driver a silk robe and golden scepter, why did I only get a cotton robe and wooden staff?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWell,\u201d St. Peter replied, \u201cWe work on a performance scale.\u00a0While you preached, everyone slept, but when he drove taxis, everyone prayed!<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n A little boy was afraid of the dark.<\/p>\n One night his mother told him to go out to the back porch and bring her the broom.<\/p>\n The little boy turned to his mother and said: \u201cMama, I don\u2019t want to go out there. It\u2019s dark.\u201d<\/p>\n The mother smiled reassuringly at her son. \u201cYou don\u2019t have to be afraid of the dark,\u201d she explained. \u201cJesus is out there. He\u2019ll look after you and protect you.\u201d<\/p>\n The little boy looked at his mother with a confused stare and asked: \u201cAre you sure he\u2019s out there?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYes, I\u2019m sure. He is everywhere, and he is always ready to help you when you need him,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n The little boy thought about that for a minute and then went to the back door and cracked it a little. Peering out into the darkness, he called: \u201cJesus?
