Savannah Guthrie is probably never returning to the \u201cToday\u201d show after her mother Nancy\u2019s heartbreaking disappearance, according to a new report.<\/p>\n
The \u201cToday\u201d anchor has not appeared on the NBC morning show since Feb. 1, when Nancy was reported missing. Multiple TV veterans told Status News that it\u2019s doubtful she\u2019ll ever return.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s no way Savannah\u2019s coming back,\u201d one source told the outlet. \u201cI can\u2019t imagine she would even want to.\u201d<\/p>\n
However, Page Six is told one cannot definitively say Savannah won\u2019t be coming back at all, as she is currently focused on her mom and not her work.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, another TV exec noted Savannah\u2019s importance to the iconic morning show, telling the outlet, \u201cIf you could pick one person across the span of morning TV that a show would not want to lose, it would be Savannah.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cSavannah was always the glue on that show, and without that, this whole paradigm of our morning anchor team as a family, that connective tissue has just been ripped out,\u201d<\/p>\n

Savannah\u2019s former co-anchor, Hoda Kotb, returned to the \u201cToday\u201d show to fill in during the Guthrie family tragedy.<\/p>\n
Kotb exited NBC in January 2025 after 26 years with the network.<\/p>\n
