{"id":268,"date":"2025-07-11T09:51:02","date_gmt":"2025-07-11T09:51:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tappyli.com\/?p=268"},"modified":"2025-07-11T09:51:02","modified_gmt":"2025-07-11T09:51:02","slug":"two-little-boys-go-into-the-grocery-store","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tappyli.com\/?p=268","title":{"rendered":"Two little boys go into the grocery store"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two little boys go into the grocery store.<br \/>\nOne is nine, one is four.<\/p>\n<p>The nine year old grabs a box of tampons from the shelf and carries it to the register for check-out.<\/p>\n<p>The cashier asks \u201cOh, these must be for your mom, huh?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The nine year old replies \u201cNope, not for my mom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Without thinking, the cashier responded \u201cWell, they must be for your sister then?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The nine year old quipped, \u201cNope, not for my sister either.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The cashier had now become curious \u201cOh. Not for your mom and not for your sister, who are they for?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The nine year old says \u201cThey\u2019re for my four year old little brother.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The cashier is surprised \u201cYour four year old little brother?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The nine year old explains: \u201cWell yeah, they say on TV if you wear one of these you can swim or ride a bike and my little brother can\u2019t do either of them!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jimmy and Matty, ages 8 and 4, were excessively mischievous.<br \/>\nThey were always getting into trouble and their parents knew if any mischief occurred in their town, the two boys were probably involved.<\/p>\n<p>The boys\u2019 mother heard that a preacher in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys. The preacher agreed, but he asked to see them individually. The mother sent Matty in the morning, and planned to send Jimmy to see the preacher in the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>The preacher, a huge man with a deep booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly, \u201cDo you know where God is, son?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The boy\u2019s mouth dropped open, but he made no response, sitting there wide-eyed with his mouth hanging open. So the preacher repeated the question in an even sterner tone, \u201cWhere is God?!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Again, Matty made no attempt to answer. The preacher raised his voice even more and shook his finger in the boy\u2019s face and bellowed, \u201cWhere is God?!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The boy screamed and bolted from the room, ran directly home and dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him. When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked, \u201cWhat happened?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Matty, gasping for breath, replied, \u201cWe are in BIG trouble this time!
