Our wedding day is one of the most important days of our lives. We want everything to go perfectly, but we also realize that life is full of unexpected twists and turns.<\/p>\n

1. Apologize<\/p>\n

The first thing that she should do is apologize to her stepfather. He was there for her during the good times and the bad times and she made a bad decision. Apologizing may pave the way to make things better.<\/p>\n

2. Create an event<\/p>\n

You can never have the original wedding back again but there are plenty things to do that could be a special events for you and him. You don\u2019t need to make the event about him, just make sure that he is both invited and a participant.<\/p>\n

Some healing may need to take place before you do this but it can go a long way in helping to heal the pain.<\/p>\n

3. Get Some Help<\/p>\n

When you reach this point in our relationship, there are times when you need to seek professional help. There are plenty of counselors out there who help families that are going through these types of stressful situations.<\/p>\n
