He would always smell the wonderful odours emanating from the next door restaurant\u2019s kitchen.<\/p>\n<p>One day, the restaurant sent Harry an invoice. Harry went to see the manager to ask why.<\/p>\n<p>The manager replied, \u201cYou\u2019re enjoying my food, so you should pay for it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harry refused to pay and the restaurant sued him. At the hearing, the judge asked the restaurant to present their side of the story.<\/p>\n<p>They said, \u201cEvery day, this man comes and sits near our kitchen and visibly smells our food whilst eating his. We are obviously adding value to his cheap food and we deserve to be recompensed for it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The judge then asked Harry, \u201cAnd what do you have to say about that?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harry said nothing but stuck his hand in his pocket and rattled around the coins he had inside.<\/p>\n<p>The judge asked him, \u201cWhat\u2019s the meaning of that?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harry replied, \u201cI am paying for the smell of his food with the sound of my money.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-18522 size-full td-animation-stack-type2-2\" src=\"https:\/\/teachmelife.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/w3.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/teachmelife.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/w3.jpg 400w, https:\/\/teachmelife.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/w3-300x233.jpg 300w\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"311\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Abraham wanted a new suit, so he bought a nice piece of cloth and then tried to locate a tailor.<\/h2>\n<p>The first tailor he visited looked at the cloth and measured Abraham, then told him the cloth was not enough to make a suit. Abraham was unhappy with this opinion and sought another tailor.<\/p>\n<p>This tailor measured Abraham, then measured the cloth, and then smiled and said, \u201cThere is enough cloth to make a pair of trousers, a coat and a vest, please come back in a week to take your suit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After a week Abraham came to take his new suit, and saw the tailor\u2019s son wearing trousers made of the same cloth.<\/p>\n<p>Perplexed, he asked, \u201cJust how could you make a full suit for me and trousers for your son, when the other tailor could not make a suit only?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s very simple,\u201d replied the tailor, \u201cThe other tailor has two sons.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>A customer at Green\u2019s Gourmet Grocery marvels at the proprietor\u2019s quick wit and intelligence.<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cTell me, Green, what makes you so smart?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wouldn\u2019t share my secret with just anyone,\u201d Green replies, lowering his voice so the other shoppers won\u2019t hear. \u201cBut since you\u2019re a good and faithful customer, I\u2019ll let you in on it. Fish heads. You eat enough of them, you\u2019ll be positively brilliant.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou sell them here?\u201d the customer asks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnly $4 each,\u201d says Green.<\/p>\n<p>The customer buys three. A week later, he\u2019s back in the store complaining that the fish heads were disgusting and he isn\u2019t any smarter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou didn\u2019t eat enough,\u201d says Green.<\/p>\n<p>The customer goes home with 20 more fish heads. Two weeks later, he\u2019s back and this time he\u2019s really angry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHey, Green,\u201d he says, \u201cYou\u2019re selling me fish heads for $4 apiece when I can buy the whole fish for $2.
