Donald Trump might\u2019ve been celebrating his 79th birthday with tanks and marching bands, but all eyes were on a rare moment between him and his wife Melania.<\/p>\n
Donald Trump and Melania, who\u2019ve barely been seen together in public during Trump\u2019s second term, were finally pictured side by side at a military parade in Washington, D.C. over the weekend.<\/p>\n
The event was supposedly in honour of the U.S. Army\u2019s 250th anniversary, but conveniently also landed on Trump\u2019s birthday. He called it a \u201cbig day.\u201d Spoiler: it wasn\u2019t.<\/p>\n
Photos displayed a noticeably underwhelming crowd, with plenty of empty space along the parade route. Trump only spoke for eight minutes, even though he was meant to go for 15.<\/p>\n

\nSeated between Melania and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Trump spent most of the event chatting with Hegseth.<\/p>\n
But as per a lip reader, one short exchange with Melania offered a glimpse into their private dynamic, and it was surprisingly wholesome.<\/p>\n
\u201cAre you cold?\u201d Trump seemed to ask his wife, according to lip-reading expert Nicola Hickling, who analysed the footage for the Daily Mail.<\/p>\n
Melania seemed to smile and respond: \u201cNo, I\u2019m okay.\u201d Trump gave a small nod in return.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s hardly pillow talk, but for a pair often rumoured to be frosty behind closed doors, it was something. And that wasn\u2019t the only PDA on display.<\/p>\n
Judi James, a body language expert, told The Irish Star that Melania seemed more present and engaged than usual, even showing rare signs of affection toward her husband.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cMelania\u2019s body language was something of a small revelation at the parade,\u201d James said. \u201cNot only was she displaying subtle signals of taking a more assertive role with her husband, but there was also a very unusual and eye-catching PDA.\u201d<\/p>\n
The big move? Placing her hand on Trump\u2019s thigh, twice. James believed that it could\u2019ve been a gesture of closeness, or even a subtle act of control.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe could\u2019ve been trying to console him,\u201d James added. \u201cIt might\u2019ve been his birthday treat, or maybe just a soft landing after the bash didn\u2019t quite deliver on crowd size or vibes.\u201d<\/p>\n
Later, Trump returned the favour, reportedly resting his hand on Melania\u2019s lap.<\/p>\n
For a couple that\u2019s often made headlines for looking like they\u2019d rather be anywhere else, it was a moment of uncharacteristic tenderness, even if it came at a parade with more tanks than fans.<\/p>\n
So though the party might\u2019ve flopped, Trump at least got one birthday gift: Melania letting him know she wasn\u2019t cold, and maybe still isn\u2019t giving him the cold shoulder.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
