Lopez opted for eight different outfits that she changed during the night, and although she was stunning in each and every one of them, one particular wardrobe choice made fans stunned\u2026 and well, also divided.<\/p>\n

Lopez\u2019 first time on\u00a0the AMAs stage was back in\u00a01991 when she performed as\u00a0a\u00a0backup dancer for\u00a0New Kids on\u00a0the Block<\/em>\u00a0at\u00a0just 21\u00a0years old. \u201cThe awards show\u00a0has been such a\u00a0big part of\u00a0my\u00a0music journey and history,\u201d she\u00a0shared<\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019re going to\u00a0celebrate the year in\u00a0music.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though she admitted hosting isn\u2019t usually her thing\u2014\u201dBelieve it\u00a0or\u00a0not, I\u2019m quite shy,\u201d she said\u2014Lopez nailed it with effortless confidence and flair. \u201cI\u2019m a\u00a0performer, so\u00a0if\u00a0I have a\u00a0script or\u00a0a\u00a0song, I\u00a0can do\u00a0that, and\u00a0I love doing that. But hosting is\u00a0a\u00a0different thing, a\u00a0different skill set,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

At the AMA, Lopez turned heads in a dazzling, diamond-studded outfit from Bronx and Banco\u2019s Fall 2023 collection.<\/h2>\n

The look featured bold cutouts and a sheer fringe skirt, perfectly highlighting her curves and famous abs. She described her style for the evening as \u201cglam, cool, chic, elegant, and sexy\u201d\u2014everything fans associate with her iconic fashion sense. Social media buzzed with reactions: many praised her fearless and stunning fashion at 55, calling her legendary, while a few thought the outfit was a bit over the top for a hosting role.<\/p>\n
