And now, at the airport, with only a few hours left before the flight, he allowed himself for the first time to lie down. To sleep. Without fear. Without worry.<\/p>\n<p>And his loyal dog \u2014 the only being he trusted completely \u2014 knew that as long as her master was asleep, no one was allowed to touch him.<\/p>\n<p>When an airport employee, already informed, approached, he spoke calmly to the dog. He showed her his ID, slowly sat down, and held out his hand for her to sniff.<\/p>\n<p>Only then did the German Shepherd slowly step aside, still keeping watch. They didn\u2019t wake the soldier. They simply placed a protective cordon around them so no one would disturb him. And a passerby quietly left a bottle of water and a bag of food.<\/p>\n<p>Two hours later, the young man woke up. He didn\u2019t know that a crowd had gathered around, that some had even cried upon seeing the dog\u2019s devotion.
